Union Village

The Presbyterian Home for Children and the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind (AIDB) partnered to offer Union Village, a permanent supportive housing community for individuals who are deaf, blind or deafblind. Each tiny cottage built is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. AIDB provides wrap-around support services to Union Village residents such as job coaching, case management, transportation, assistive technology and more. The Holle Family Foundation provided funds to add two new cottages. Below is a picture of the first Union Village Phase II resident.
