Raleigh’s Place has made a significant impact in supporting young men transitioning out of foster care with the creation of Transitional Living Apartments. Transforming an old hospital into a safe, welcoming space, this project provides essential resources to help these young adults thrive.
The facility includes eight private apartments, each with its own bathroom, and shared amenities such as a laundry room, computer lab, kitchenette, and community spaces. Beyond housing, residents receive life skills training, education and career support, mentorship, counseling, and a sense of community to help them build stable, independent lives.
The Holle Family Foundation played a key role in funding plumbing costs, ensuring each apartment was fully equipped. With the apartments now ready for residents as of fall 2024, this milestone represents a critical step toward empowering these young men.
Allie Smith, administrator for the Holle Family Foundation, attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, expressing admiration for the impressive transformation of the building.
The Holle Family Foundation is proud to support Raleigh’s Place in creating opportunities of achievement for these individuals. This initiative will have a lasting impact, fostering stability and connections that benefit residents for years to come. Learn more about Raleigh’s Place at https://www.raleighsplace.org
