This fall, the Holle Family Foundation’s Board and faculty from The University of Alabama gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the Holle Center for Communication Arts. The Holle Center now serves as an international, interdisciplinary hub for storytelling, with a mission to support creative activities and scholarships that advance human dignity, break down barriers, and promote collaboration and empathy. The Center welcomes all who are passionate about the art of storytelling.
In honor of Brigadier General Everett Holle’s long career in creative storytelling, we recognize Dr. Robin Boylorn, distinguished research professor and endowed chair of the Holle Center, for her instrumental role in the strategic planning and establishment of the Center.
As part of the College of Communication & Information Sciences at The University of Alabama, the Holle Center is located in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Situated on the fourth floor, adjacent to the Digital Media Center, this creativity-focused space features a digital storytelling collaboratory, complete with a podcast studio, cyclorama, and editing workspace. These new additions to campus will enhance UA’s communication programs and expand learning opportunities for students.
