Community Soup Bowl is making a big impact

The Community Soup Bowl of Tuscaloosa addresses food insecurities by serving a hot nutritious meal seven days a week to feed the poor and needy. Their hardy meals include an entree, three side items, bread, dessert, bottled water, and coffee. The service line is staffed daily by employees and 6-8 volunteers.

“Funding provided by the Holle Family Foundation was used to purchase food, serving supplies, and kitchen supplies needed for one month. Their contribution helped provide over 8000 hot meals to those in need.” – Susan Lavender
